Answers to common questions

We’ve compiled a list of answers to common questions.

Are there good restaurants available?

Currently, we have three fine dining restaurants available:  Tre Bichieri, Henry Social Club, and Thai Connection, plus many more local, chain, and franchise operations.  One special place for those with a sweet tooth and a taste for nostalgia is Zaharakos Ice Cream Parlor.

What other local attractions are there?

Just across the street from us is Happy Nest (antiques and home décor), and Room With A Do (manicure, massage, hair styling). We are served by a multitude of golf courses including Otter Creek, a very successful Edinburgh Premium Outlet Mall, and the neighboring huge Exit 76 Antique Mall. Check the Visitor Center website at www.columbus.in.us for details of these and other attractions and events, especially the multitude of architecture-themed tours.

Do you offer dinner or just breakfast?

We offer a great breakfast, but dinner is on you and the local economy.

Do you have free wi-fi?

We do. It is available throughout the house, free streaming TV with Roku, Hulu, Netflix and more in every room.

What discounts do you have?

We have corporate rates and military rates which depend on length of stay. We also have “boarder” rates for those who might have an extended stay of a week or more. In the winter months, we offer second night half off in January, February, and March. We don’t offer AARP or AAA discounts.

What about wine and other drinks, since you say you are alcohol free?

Alcohol-free refers to events, such as weddings, receptions, birthday parties, reunions. Regular guests may bring what they like for private consumption.

Can we have breakfast in bed?

We just don’t have the staff for that. We serve breakfast family style, gathered around the dining room table for story telling and conversation.

Do we have to be “in” at any certain time?

No—you will have your own key to come and go as you wish. And we won’t wait up like anxious parents.
